We are based in the West Midlands and have been providing child and family therapeutic services, school support and training since 2008. Blueskies is also an approved adoption support provider.

 

Our aim is to achieve real change for children and families through promoting positive relationships and the use of proven Play Therapy and Filial Therapy techniques. At Blueskies Play Therapy we work with the whole child. This holistic way of working means the people around the child are involved in the therapeutic process. We believe building this support network and working together achieves the best, most long lasting outcome for the child.

Our background is working therapeutically in education so a priority will be working with the child’s teacher and support staff to help them understand what the child’s behaviour may be communicating. We can offer advice and strategies to help school support the child to settle to learn and achieve their academic potential. This would of course be with permission from the child and parent. Bespoke training packages can be designed for schools as well as a variety of other settings.

 

As an approved adoption support provider we are able to offer Play Therapy and Filial Therapy to adoption agencies and local authorities. Jennifer, 'blueskies' owner, will be starting the Certificate in Therapeutic Life Story work with Richard Rose at IATE in October and is looking forward to adding 'life story' work to the 'blue skies' range of services.

Blueskies Play Therapy is owned by Jennifer Casadei, Play and Filial Therapist. Jennifer has worked with children and families since 2008 and holds a degree in Psychology, a Masters in Play Therapy and is trained to deliver Intensive Filial Therapy.

 

Jennifer is accredited as a Play Therapist with the British Association of Play Therapists.
